Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics and Honored Master of Sports of the USSR Olga Karaseva has died at the age of 76.
According to Idman.Biz, the Russian Gymnastics Federation announced this on its Telegram channel.
"Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, Olga Dmitrievna Karaseva (Kharlamova), has died at the age of 76," the statement said.
Olga Karaseva won a gold medal in the team competition at the 1968 Mexico Olympics, became a world champion in 1970, a medalist of the European Championship, and a multiple champion of the USSR.
After ending her career, she worked in the USSR Sports Committee as an international judge, translator, and referee for sports gymnastics.
