The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) intends to keep Luis de la Fuente as the head coach of the national team until the end of the 2030 World Cup. According to Sport24.az, "As" newspaper reported this information.
The current contract of the 65-year-old expert is until the end of Euro 2028. The parties will start negotiations in the fall.
De la Fuente has been coaching the Spanish national team since 2022. Under his leadership, the team has won the 2022/23 Nations League, Euro 2024, and the 2026 World Cup.
Note that the 2030 World Cup will be held in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
