Croatian national team midfielder Luka Modrić will leave the national team after the Nations League match against Spain on October 6 at the Poljud stadium in Split.

Modrić has already shared his decision with the head coach of Croatia, Slaven Bilić.
It was previously reported that the midfielder had agreed to sign a new contract with "Milan" and was ready to sign a short-term contract with the club.
Modrić has played 202 games for the Croatian national team and scored 29 goals. He won a silver medal with the national team at the 2018 World Cup and a bronze medal at the 2022 World Cup.
