The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFHHS) has determined the best player of WC-2026.
Sport.Biz reports, based on the information released by the Statistics Federation, that 39-year-old Argentine national team striker Lionel Messi has been awarded this title.
"The selection was based on statistical indicators. In our version, Messi is the best player", - the statement released by the federation says.
The Argentine striker has scored eight goals and four assists in the completed World Cup.
