The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has registered complaints regarding the exclusion of Israeli gymnasts from the world championship, which will be held in Jakarta from October 19-25.
Idman.Biz reports that previously, the Indonesian authorities did not issue visas to Israeli athletes, including Olympic champion Artem Dolgopyat, to participate in the competition.
"CAS confirms that the Israel Gymnastics Federation has filed two appeals with the Court of Arbitration for Sport regarding the composition of the delegation to the world championship to be held in Jakarta.
The first complaint filed against the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) concerns FIG's declaration of October 10, 2025.
The second appeal, supported by six Israeli gymnasts, requests CAS to compel the federation to take the necessary measures to ensure Israel's participation in the championships, or to postpone or cancel the championships," CAS said.
CAS noted that the appeals also include a request for interim measures regarding the same issues. The court will issue a decision between October 13-14.
