The Belfry Classic Golf Day, which was held in 2025 and achieved great success by raising over £100,000, will be held again in 2026. This prestigious event, hosted by The Belfry Hotel & Resort, is expected to bring together well-known figures from the sports, media, and business sectors to raise significant funds for charitable purposes.
The invitation-only tournament will take place on May 21st on the Brabazon course, which holds a special place in golf history. Having hosted the British Masters tournament and the Ryder Cup four times, this venue is considered a symbolic choice for the event.
Award-winning journalist and television presenter Dan Walker will host the event again this year, as he did last year. The tournament will be held in a four-person team format, and famous figures from Great Britain will showcase their skills on one of the most prestigious golf courses.
Chris Eigelaar, Managing Director of The Belfry Hotel & Resort, stated that the first event held last year exceeded expectations for sponsors and guests, and increased interest is predicted for 2026.
In addition to the golf competitions, a special gala dinner prepared by John Williams MBE, the Michelin-starred chef of The Ritz London, will be organized as part of the event. Williams, considered one of the most influential chefs in Great Britain, will add his professional culinary style to the evening's high-level hospitality program.
The proceeds from the event will go to two main charity partners: the MND Association, which supports people and families affected by motor neurone disease, and Hospitality Action, which provides financial and psychological assistance to hospitality sector employees in difficult situations.
