The official TV channel of Spain's "Real Madrid" football club sharply criticized the referees' performance ahead of the "El Clasico" match against "Barcelona".
İdman.Biz reports that on "Real Madrid TV", it was claimed that La Liga referees are more inclined to make decisions in favor of the Catalans.
During the broadcast, the previous match decisions of the main referee, Juan Martinez Munuera, and Iglesias Villanueva, who will be responsible for the VAR system, were analyzed.
The presenters of the club's TV channel stated that the referees treat "Real Madrid" and "Barcelona" differently.
"This will not be an ordinary match. We are not saying this without reason. We have data and statistical indicators. We have analyzed hundreds of matches in recent years. The trend is clear: Spanish referees are more tolerant towards "Real Madrid"'s opponents, but make harsher decisions against "Barcelona"'s opponents", the broadcast emphasized.
Thus, the TV channel of the Madrid representative has once again brought pre-"El Clasico" debates to the agenda by claiming that refereeing in the Spanish championship is biased.
