Luka Modrić, the midfielder for "Milan", achieved a unique milestone in the Italian championship, becoming a record holder in Serie A in terms of the most assists by a player over the age of 40.
According to Lent.az, the Croatian midfielder made his fourth assist in the Italian league since turning 40, surpassing the record of the legendary Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimović.
Modrić made a historic assist in the Serie A match that ended with "Milan"'s 2-0 victory on October 25.
The Croatian scored a goal in the sixth minute of the game. His assist allowed Christian Pulisic to open the score. Modrić was on the field throughout the match and awarded the Rossoneri with important points.
The previous record belonged to Ibrahimović, who made three assists in Serie A matches after turning 40. Modrić is currently alone in first place with four assists.
The Croatian midfielder joined "Milan" in the summer of 2025 after playing for "Real" for a long time and winning multiple trophies.
