A young man who entered the Singapore Grand Prix venue without a ticket faces up to 3 months in prison.
According to Idman.Biz, the 22-year-old Swede entered the high-security zone of the Marina Bay track without proper accreditation.
According to reports, he entered the paddock on Saturday, then the VIP area of the Paddock Club. That evening, he was also able to enter the pit lane, and eventually, security detained him.
The man's trial began on Monday, October 6, the day after the race. He was charged with three counts of trespassing on a protected area. The young man was released on bail, but will appear in court again on November 3.
Hearings will be held regarding him in court and he may face imprisonment. The "uninvited guest" of the Singapore Grand Prix also faces a fine of $1,160.
