The "McLaren" team intends to win the title at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Formula 1.
İdman.biz reports with reference to "Teleqraf" that this was stated by Andrea Stella, the director of the British representative.
The Italian functionary said that even if his team wins the Constructors' Cup, there will be no changes in the management of the pilots: "Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will compete with the same desire in the next stages. This also reflects our desire to maintain the unity of the team, which is the basis for the future."
He added that the fight for the title is still ongoing: "The title is not ours yet. Our feelings about this year's championship race are different from last year's. There were unexpected events last season. It is gratifying that we have maintained our leadership since the 2024 Azerbaijan Grand Prix."
It should be noted that if "McLaren" scores 9 more points than "Ferrari" at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, it will secure the Constructors' Cup of the current season. Currently, "McLaren" is in the first place with 617 points and "Ferrari" is in the second place with 280 points in the tournament table.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix will conclude on September 21.
