Mercedes driver George Russell has positively assessed his performance at the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Idman.biz reports with reference to Telegraf that the British driver, who finished the race held on the Baku City Circuit in second place, said this in his statement.
He congratulated Carlos Sainz, a member of his former team Williams, who came in third: "They achieved excellent results. This is also a great result for us - I am happy to be on the podium again. It was a very difficult weekend for me personally, but I am completely satisfied with my car. My teammate Kimi Antonelli finished fourth, so I am very happy. We want to beat Ferrari in the Constructors' Cup. Today we took a big step in that direction."
It should be noted that Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
