According to the source, in the 2026 season, at the end of the first qualifying segment, six drivers, not five as it has been in recent years, will be eliminated from the race. The same applies to the second qualifying segment.
Meanwhile, the 10 fastest drivers will continue to fight for pole position in the third segment.
It should be recalled that a similar qualifying format was used in "Formula 1" in 2016, when 11 teams competed.
