A fire has occurred at the home of the parents of NASCAR Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin.
İdman.Biz reports, citing WCNC, that one person died in the fire, and another sustained life-threatening injuries. The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
The house was completely destroyed as a result of the fire. Due to water shortages in the area, it took approximately two hours to extinguish the fire.
Official authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. The driver himself has not yet reacted to the incident. The condition of Hamlin's parents, or whether they were among the injured, has also not yet been disclosed.
Hamlin finished second in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. Kyle Larson won the championship title.
