Italian driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli of the Mercedes team in "F1" confessed to having emotional reactions during a difficult period of the 2025 season.

"Do people cry in Formula 1? I cry. I often cried in difficult times. It was especially difficult psychologically, because I started to doubt myself. Formula 1 is the dream of my life, I worked very hard for it, but after a great start to the season, I began to feel that things were not going according to plan. It was difficult. Antonelli made his Formula 1 debut in 2025. The Italian took seventh place in the championship.
