Andrea Kimi Antonelli, the Mercedes driver and contender for the Formula 1 world championship, explained his aggressive racing style on the track.
Idman.Biz reports that the Italian driver compared the competition in Formula 1 to a "shark tank."
Antonelli stated that being aggressive is important for him because he is fighting for victory:
"It's like being in a shark tank. Either you eat, or you get eaten. You have to be aggressive, but in the right dosage. I was aggressive in Canada, maybe a little too much. If such a situation happens again, we need to be more cold-blooded."
Antonelli noted that Mercedes does not want to interfere with his battle with George Russell within the team. However, the Italian pilot also emphasized that he does not want a repeat of the tense competition between Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg:
"We will race each other hard, but we will try to be as fair as possible. We must avoid accidents and contacts, because we also want the best for the team. We want Mercedes to win."
