Ahead of the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the pilots of the Alpine team, Franco Colapinto and Pierre Gasly, decided to get closely acquainted with Azerbaijani cuisine.

A place was allocated near the food court at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix venue so that guests could both watch the process and taste local dishes. Videos of Colapinto and Gasly making qutab quickly gained popularity on social media and received numerous comments from fans around the world.
Franco Colapinto took the task very seriously: "he was excited, carefully prepared the qutabs and did not hide his joy after a successful attempt, even applauding himself." Pierre Gasly approached the culinary experience with humor. His qutabs were not in the traditional form, and the pilot jokingly reacted to this with "who said it had to be round?"
After the food was cooked, the pilots treated their colleagues and guests to qutab. According to the reaction of Argentinian journalist Juan Fossaroli, the food they prepared was amazingly delicious.
