Azerbaijani Olympic judo champions Elnur Mammadli, Hidayat Heydarov, and Zelim Kotsoev have visited the city of Khankendi.
According to the Karabakh bureau of "Report", during the visit, they met with residents of the city and became closely acquainted with the construction work being carried out in the city.
According to the public relations department of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdara, and Khojaly regions, the guests first visited Karabakh University.
They were informed about the history and activities of this higher education institution. Later, the athletes visited the Khankendi stadium and witnessed the construction work being carried out.
The guests were informed that the reconstruction process of the stadium would be completed soon.
It should be noted that within the framework of the program, visits of our Olympic champions to Shusha, Lachin, Fuzuli, and Aghdam and meetings with local residents are also planned.
Within the framework of the "I State Program on the Great Return", consistent measures are being implemented to restore socio-economic, cultural, and sports life in the liberated territories. During his speech at the event dedicated to the sports results of 2024, the head of state emphasized that the visits of athletes to the liberated lands would be of great importance for young people and children. The visits of representatives of the sports community, joining this call of the President, are carried out with the initiative and support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
