The International Judo Federation (IJF) has updated the world ranking after the end of the "Grand Slam" tournament held in Paris. Sport24.az reports that the winner of the competition, Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg), entered the top "twenty".
The Azerbaijani judoka advanced 15 places in the ranking and is currently in 19th place.
Rashid Mammadaliyev (73 kg) rose to the top "ten": the bronze medal of the "Grand Slam" tournament added "+3" to him and as a result he climbed to the 10th position.
Another bronze medalist of the tournament also improved his ranking: Omar Rajabli moved up five places to 23rd place.
Meanwhile, Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelim Kotsoev (100 kg) retain their leadership and confidently hold the 1st place in their categories.
Zelim Tskayev (81 kg) dropped from 8th to 10th place, while Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg) left the top "ten" and is currently 11th. Turan Bayramov (60 kg) moved up one place to 15th.
