The Jiu-Jitsu World Championship, organized by AJP Tour, took place on November 16 in Abu Dhabi, and two of our athletes, Baghir Aliyev and Timur Simvol, who competed in the tournament, achieved successful results.
Idman.Biz reports that Baghir Aliyev, competing in the yellow belt, up to 62 kg youth category, won a gold medal by defeating two of Kazakhstan's strongest athletes, one Ukrainian representative, and one Arab athlete in a row.
The other athlete, Timur Simvol, also performed reliably. He defeated two Ukrainians, one Kazakh, and one American opponent, demonstrating complete superiority in all fights and winning a gold medal.
The result of both athletes is considered as a confirmation of years of training effort.
These two victories once again revealed the strength of the Baku Jiu-Jitsu school in the international arena. Successes are both an indicator of the character and discipline of young athletes and a significant contribution to the country's prestige.
