As part of the visit, Olympic champions Elnur Mammadli, Hidayat Heydarov, and Zelim Kotsoev met with the city residents and closely familiarized themselves with the construction works being carried out here.
According to Idman.biz, citing the public relations department of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, the guests first visited Karabakh University.
They were informed about the history and activities of this higher education institution. Later, the athletes visited the Khankendi stadium and inquired about the construction work being done there.
It was reported that the stadium's reconstruction process will be completed soon.
It should be noted that consistent measures are being implemented within the framework of the "I State Program on the Great Return" to restore social-economic, cultural, and sports life in the liberated territories.
During his speech at the event dedicated to the sports results of 2024, the head of state emphasized that the visits of athletes to the liberated lands would be of great importance for young people and children. The visits of representatives of the sports community, who joined the President's call, are carried out with the initiative and support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Within the framework of the program, visits of our Olympic champions to Shusha, Lachin, Fuzuli, and Aghdam and meetings with local residents are also planned.

The visit of Azerbaijani judo Olympic champions to Karabakh has begun.
Idman.biz reports that the two-day visit was organized jointly by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Judo Federation to promote judo.
During the visit, which was attended by Elnur Mammadli, Hidayat Heydarov, and Zelim Kotsoev, meetings will be held with the public, and important and historical places will be visited.
It should be noted that the Olympic champions will be in Khankendi and Shusha today, and in Lachin and Fuzuli tomorrow.
