On August 15, a certificate awarding ceremony was held for the participants of the judo coaching program of the International Judo Federation (IJF) Academy. Sport24.az reports that the event was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, the head of the International Relations Department of the National Olympic Committee Anar Bagirov, the vice-president of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF) Elnur Mammadli, the executive vice-president of the AJF Rashad Rasul and the advisor to the president of the AJF Natig Bagirov.
Rashad Rasul, the executive vice-president of ACF, who opened the ceremony with an introductory speech, thanked the president of BCF Marius Vizer, the leadership of the BCF Academy, as well as the local supporters and experts of the program for their support. He emphasized that activity in the field of education is one of the main directions of the ACF's general strategy and noted that from next year, conditions will be created for the admission of more international participants. In conclusion, Rashad Rasul wished the participants success in tomorrow's exams.
Envik Galea, the director of the BCF Academy, expressed his belief that the coaches will take full advantage of the created opportunities and successfully pass the exams. He also stated that all participants successfully completed the kata exam held today.
In the end, participant certificates were presented to the coaches who participated in the program.
It should be noted that 48 coaches from Azerbaijan, as well as Georgia and Uzbekistan, participated in the program, which was held for the 5th time in our country with the joint organization of the National Olympic Committee and the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, with the support of the Olympic Solidarity Fund of the International Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. So far, 245 local coaches have been involved in the educational process in the mentioned program. 168 of them successfully passed the exams and obtained an international coaching diploma.
