Idman.Biz reports that our representative, competing in the +100 kg weight category, faced Russian Artyom Zolotukhin on the way to the semi-finals. Gamzatkhanov lost to his opponent in a tense fight and lost his chance to reach the final.
However, our judoka does not stop competing in the tournament. He will compete in a consolation match to maintain his chance of winning a bronze medal. If he wins this stage, Jamal will have the right to participate in the decisive match for the third place.

Gamzatkhanov won against his opponent with a yuko technique in the golden score section of the tense fight and qualified for the 1/4 finals.
Another judoka, Kenan Nasibov, who competed in the same weight category, faced defeat in the 1/8 finals. Our representative, who faced German Losseni Kone, lost to his opponent in the golden score section and had to say goodbye to the competition early.
