Elnur Ismayilov, head coach of the youth girls' team, successfully completed an international coaching seminar in Japan at the initiative of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF).
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the ACF press service that the one-month program organized by the "JUDOs" Public Union took place at the Kodokan Judo Center in Tokyo and at Tokai University.
The seminar covered both theoretical and practical modules, providing participants with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of judo training methodology as well as Japanese judo traditions. The Kodokan stage focused on nage-no-kata training.
At Tokai University, classes were held under the leadership of Mitsumoto Kendji, an 8th dan holder. Olympic champion, 7th dan holder Kosei Inoue, and former head coach of the Brazilian national team, Yuko Fuji, also participated in the program and conducted additional classes.
The main topics of the training included safe judo rules for beginners, proper organization of the training process, sports massage techniques, bandaging techniques, and physical preparation. The program also included visits to Japan's cultural and historical sites – the grave of judo founder Jigoro Kano, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, and the Japan Olympic Museum.
At the end of the seminar, Elnur Ismayilov was awarded an international certificate. By applying the knowledge and experience he gained in Japan in our country, he will contribute to the development of judo and the training of a new generation of judokas.
It should be noted that earlier this program was successfully completed by world medalist and European champion Orkhan Safarov, as well as coach Asiman Allahverdiyev.
