The 42nd European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships are taking place in Varna, Bulgaria, from May 27 to 31.
Idman.Biz reports that our newly formed group exercises team, which performed on May 30, took 11th place among 26 teams in the all-around with a score of 46.650 at the European Championships, where they debuted in the senior category, although they did not qualify for the final. Our team finished 11th with 24.100 points in the 5 balls program and 15th with 22.550 points in the 3 hoops and 2 pairs of clubs program.
Based on the sum of the results of individual and group exercises in the senior age category, the Azerbaijani team took 15th place in the team score with 239.350 points. Individual gymnasts Fidan Gurbanli, Govhar Ibrahimova and Kamilla Seyidzade contributed to the team score.
In the individual all-around competitions, Fidan Gurbanli took 32nd place with 74.850 points.
It should be noted that our country was represented in the competition by Azada Atakishiyeva and Nuray Muradli among juniors, Fidan Gurbanli, Govhar Ibrahimova, Kamilla Seyidzade among seniors in the individual program, as well as our group exercises team.
Among juniors, Azada Atakishiyeva was awarded 19th place with 22.450 points in the hoop program.
