Verstappen takes pole position in Italian Grand Prix qualifying

The qualifying stage of the Italian Grand Prix in Formula 1 has concluded.

Idman.biz reports that the pole position was won by Red Bull driver Max Verstappen.

McLaren driver Lando Norris took second place. His teammate, championship leader Oscar Piastri, was third.

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, a Ferrari driver, finished fifth in the qualifying stage.
