US driver dies attempting world speed record

US race car driver Chris Rashke died while attempting to break the world speed record in Utah.

The South California Timing Association press service reported this, "Report" informs.

The 60-year-old driver reached a speed of 285 mph (450 km/h) before losing control and crashing. Doctors tried to save his life, but he died at the scene from his injuries.
