When extending his new contract with the German team, a special clause was added to the contract. According to the clause, if a car suitable for the new rules is not prepared for the Briton, he can move to another team capable of winning the title and terminate the contract.
"Mercedes" announced its driver lineup for the 2026 season on October 15. The team's current drivers, George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli, will remain as the driving duo. The terms of their new contracts have not been disclosed.
