Toto Wolff, head of "Mercedes", expects a close fight at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in "Formula 1".
According to "Report", referring to "F1News.ru", the complex track in Baku is a good test for both the car and the driver.
"The fight will be intense, so every small detail will be of great importance. If we perform at full strength, we can hope to fight in the front rows this weekend," he noted.
T.Volff added that he hopes for second place in the Constructors' Cup at the end of the season:
"The European part of the season is over and this weekend (in Baku - ed.) the last 1/3 of the championship begins. The stage in Abu Dhabi will be intense, as three teams are fighting for second place in the Constructors' Cup. We lagged behind in Monza (Italy - ed.). We know that if we want to overtake our rivals, we must perform better in the remaining 8 races".
It should be noted that "Mercedes" is in third place (260 points) in the Constructors' Cup of the current championship. The team lags behind "McLaren" (617 points) and "Ferrari" (280), but is ahead of "Red Bull" (239).
In the individual standings, George Russell is fourth and Andrea Kimi Antonelli is eighth.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held between September 19-21.
