Damon Hill stated that after becoming a world champion, the driver's opinions are automatically considered more valuable within the team. However, this advantage sometimes creates a wrong impression. According to him, winning the title does not automatically make the driver an expert in every field, and the main issue is the correct transfer of leadership skills to the team.
Hill believes that McLaren trusts both of its drivers, but the main test for Norris will be the psychological burden that this status creates within the team. This factor can play a decisive role in the competition with Oscar Piastri.
