Sergio Perez, the 36-year-old Mexican driver for the Cadillac Formula 1 team, says that a major accident could happen soon at the start of the race.
Idman.Biz reports that Perez associated this with the characteristics of the engines.
"I'm very sorry to say that, but it's only a matter of time before there's a major accident (at the start due to the new engines). These power units are very difficult to start. The start can be good or bad depending on many factors. Like what happened in Lawson, you can stall and then it can be very dangerous because the speeds you reach in two or three seconds are extreme. It's a difficult question because I don't know what to do. It's just very difficult to start the new engines," Motorsport quotes Perez as saying.
