Mexican driver Sergio Perez has reportedly reached an agreement to sign a contract with the "Cadillac" team in Formula 1.

The official announcement is expected to be made at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, which will be held on September 5-7.
The new team, which will represent the USA, will become the 11th participant in the Formula 1 World Championship starting from the 2026 season.
Last season, Perez, competing for the "Red Bull" team, finished 8th in the overall standings with 152 points. At that time, his teammate Max Verstappen became the world champion. Perez left the Austrian team at the end of the season.
