"Pirelli", the official tire supplier of the Formula 1 World Championship, has announced the compounds it is bringing for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Idman.biz, citing Futbolinfo.az, reports that the compound set is one step softer than last year.
The C6 soft compound, which the teams used in Imola, Monaco and Montreal, will be used. C5 will be Medium, and C4 will be Hard.
The asphalt surface of the Baku city track is characterized by low grip and tire wear. If "Pirelli" had brought the same compound to Baku as a year ago, there would have been only one pit stop in the race. Now, the softer compound increases the likelihood of two pit stops.
