Australian McLaren driver Oscar Piastri said that he considers the race on the Baku city track one of his favorite races in the Formula 1 calendar.

In 2024, the Australian pilot won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc from Monaco took second place, and Mercedes' George Russell from Britain took third place.
"I have incredibly fond memories of Baku. I consider this race one of my favorites. When you return to a track where you have achieved great success, you always have an advantage," the 24-year-old pilot said on the eve of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Piastri, considered one of the most promising young talents in modern Formula 1, does not hide his ambitions for the upcoming stage. He is aiming for a second consecutive victory at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held on September 19-21.
