24-year-old Australian McLaren driver Oskar Piastri has revealed the most important race that changed his life in his career.
İdman.Biz reports with reference to Sportskeeda that he spoke about his first race in Europe:
"The race that changed my career was my first race in Europe in 2014 - the IAME International final. My parents just wanted to see if I could perform at that level and sent me there. I started 21st in the final and finished third. That was a much better result than both my parents and I expected."
The experienced pilot added that he raced several times in Europe the following year: "A year later, I moved to Europe completely. If I hadn't performed so well in that race, I probably wouldn't be in Formula 1 today."
