McLaren driver and Formula 1 championship points leader Oscar Piastri commented on his unsuccessful performance in Baku.
Idman.biz reports that the race started disastrously for him – a false start and an accident on the first lap.
Oscar Piastri said in a statement to Sky Sports that he did not take into account the airflow: "Of course, it wasn't my best moment. I reacted too quickly to the start – it was a simple and stupid mistake. The accident happened for the same reason: I didn't take into account the airflow, I entered the turn too fast and that was it. The slip level was low, but I should have known that. I can't blame anyone but myself. I just couldn't make the right decisions at the right time, and that's very frustrating."
It should be noted that the winner of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix was Max Verstappen from Red Bull. George Russell from Mercedes took second place, and Carlos Sainz from Williams took third place.
