The McLaren driver left behind his teammate Oscar Piastri and Lewis Hamilton from Ferrari. Max Verstappen, who finished 4th, dropped to 17th place due to a 10-second disqualification.
After these results, Piastri is in first place in the drivers' standings with 106 points. Norris has 97 points, and Verstappen has 87 points.
The main race at the Miami Grand Prix will start today at 23:50.
Note that Max Verstappen won the qualifying and will start the race from 1st place.
