The Formula 1 team "Mercedes" is preparing to sign a new long-term contract with George Russell.
Idman.biz reports that the parties have agreed on the details of the new deal.
It is reported that the British driver will earn 30 million pounds sterling (close to 40 million euros) per year. He is expected to be one of the highest-paid drivers, like Charles Leclerc ("Ferrari") and Lando Norris ("McLaren").
It should be noted that Russell's contract with the team will expire at the end of the year. Although there were reports that "Mercedes" was negotiating with Max Verstappen, the champion of the last 4 seasons, the Dutch driver will play for "Red Bull" for another season.
