Spanish journalist Carlos Miguel revealed details of the first unsuccessful start-up of the "Mercedes" engine.
Idman.Biz reports that McLaren pilot Lando Norris is the current world champion among drivers. The British McLaren team was the first among constructors.
"I was told that the "Mercedes" engine exploded on the test platform before Christmas," Mikel said on the COPE podcast.
