Idman.biz reports that the team from Woking confidently leads the Constructors' Championship and could secure their title early as soon as the next stage – in Baku.
Currently, "McLaren"'s advantage over "Ferrari" is 337 points, and after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, there will be 346 points remaining in the overall standings. To formalize the championship, "McLaren" drivers must score at least 9 points more than "Ferrari" drivers.
In addition, in Baku, the "oranges" must not lose more than 12 points to "Mercedes" and more than 33 points to "Red Bull Racing". If all conditions are met, "McLaren" will become the owner of the Constructors' Cup with 7 races remaining until the end of the season.
This would surpass "Red Bull"'s record, who secured their title with 6 stages remaining in 2023.
