Red Bull driver Max Verstappen, competing in the Formula 1 World Championship, will not participate in the first free practice session of the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The experienced driver will be replaced by Japanese Ayumu Iwasa.
According to the regulations of the 2025 season, each Formula 1 team must provide one of its cars to two new drivers at least twice.
It should be noted that the Bahrain Grand Prix will take place between April 11-13. The first free practice will take place on April 11. The stage in Baku will take place on September 19-21.
