"Red Bull" team driver Max Verstappen has been awarded a special prize by "Pirelli" for his pole record in the 2025 season.
Idman.Biz reports that the four-time "Formula 1" world champion was presented with a large decorative tire as the pilot who achieved the most pole positions after the qualifying race of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Verstappen also showed the best time in the qualifying round held at the "Yas Marina" track.
This result was his eighth pole of the current season. His closest follower, Lando Norris ("McLaren"), has 7, and the Briton's teammate, Oscar Piastri, has 6 poles. George Russell ("Mercedes") and Charles Leclerc ("Ferrari") each owned a pole in the season.
In the qualifying race held in Abu Dhabi, Verstappen completed the lap with a time of 1:22.207. Norris was second, 0.201 seconds behind him, and Piastri was third. George Russell will also start the race from the second row.
This special tire presented to Verstappen is considered a symbol of his clear dominance in the Saturday qualifying races in the 2025 season.
