Four-time world champion Max Verstappen voiced harsh opinions about the new regulations of "Formula 1" after the Chinese Grand Prix. The Dutch driver of "Red Bull" stated that the current races do not give pleasure to the pilots.

"Modern "Formula 1" is terrible. If someone likes it, then that person has no idea what "Formula 1" is. Driving a car now is no fun at all. It's like playing "Mario Kart". This is not a race. You overtake an opponent on the straight, then the battery runs out and he overtakes you on the next straight. I think this is just a joke," the pilot emphasized.
He also expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of competition in the championship:
