Malaysia does not plan to host a stage of the Formula 1 World Championship.
"Report" reports with reference to "New Straits Times" that the Minister of Youth and Sports Hanna Yeo made a statement about it.
She attributed this to the high cost of hosting the race, the need to prepare infrastructure, and a busy race calendar.
According to her, the saved amount is spent on the development of other sports.
It should be noted that the Malaysian Grand Prix lasted from 1999 to 2017 and was one of the oldest stages of Formula 1 in Asia.
