Lewis Hamilton, a "Ferrari" driver, accused the FIA of hypocrisy after receiving a 10-second penalty at the Mexico Grand Prix for exceeding track limits at Turn 4 and gaining an advantage, despite Max Verstappen escaping punishment for similar actions.
İdman.Biz reports that Hamilton tried to counter-attack the British "Red Bull" driver after Verstappen overtook him at Turn 1, before re-entering the track.
"Ultimately, I'm disappointed with the governing body's decision. As you can see, this is a double standard and that's exactly how it is," Sportskeeda quoted Hamilton as saying.
Earlier, the stewards released a statement explaining why Lewis Hamilton received a 10-second penalty.
