Formula 1 world champion Lando Norris has faced an unexpected setback at the Chinese Grand Prix. The 26-year-old British McLaren driver was unable to make it to the starting grid before the pit lane closed.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to Sky Sports that this was caused by an electronics problem in the Briton's car. Although the mechanics managed to fix the problem, according to the rules, Norris will have to start the race from the pit lane.
It should be noted that Lando showed the sixth result in yesterday's qualifying session. He was 0.544 seconds behind Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who won the pole position. Norris' teammate Oscar Piastri finished the race in fifth place.
