McLaren driver Lando Norris has assessed his team's chances of winning the upcoming Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
According to "Report", he stated this in an interview with GPblog.
The 25-year-old Briton noted that the Baku street track poses serious challenges and that the main rivals will be the Ferrari and Red Bull Racing teams:
"Last year there was a lot of competition among many drivers. Ferrari was also very strong there. We expect them to race well this year as well."
He emphasized that McLaren approaches every weekend prepared for any development:
"We have been dominant and that is always positive. But it must be taken into account that any competitor - whether Ferrari or Red Bull - can be at the top."
L. Norris added that in order to be competitive on the Baku street track, the team will build its strategy in Azerbaijan based on the experience of previous tracks, analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of its rivals.
