McLaren driver Lando Norris commented on his second-place finish in qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix.
Idman.biz reports that Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the Italian Grand Prix qualifying. McLaren driver Lando Norris took second place. His teammate, championship leader Oscar Piastri, was third.
"Max's result didn't surprise me, he was fast all weekend. It was a difficult session for me, I made a lot of mistakes. But I'm happy that I managed to win the lap in the end and I'm happy with second place. I judge the result based on how I managed myself and I couldn't do my best today. But it's good to start the race from the front row.
We are usually strong on Sundays, but I am sure that it will be difficult to overtake Max. I don't expect any miracles tomorrow, behind us is Ferrari - I have no doubt that they will try to get ahead as soon as possible," said Lando Norris after the end of the qualifying stage.
