"McLaren" driver and current world champion Lando Norris has completed the third day of testing at the Barcelona track.
Idman.Biz reports that Norris stated that returning to the track and seeing the number 1 driver was a surreal moment.
"It was great to be back on track and see the number 1 driver in the car, it was a surreal moment for me. Getting on track is a momentous occasion for the whole team as it's the first time our car has been on track under the new regulations. Thank you to everyone who helped us achieve this.
It was a productive and positive first day. Our goal was to get an initial feel for the new car, test all the systems, and gather some initial data for the engineers. With the rule change, it takes time to get everything right, but I'm happy with how the day went and I'm looking forward to more laps on Friday," the team's press service quoted Norris.
