1997 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve responded to a question about Williams driver Carlos Sainz and his prospects of winning the F1 title.
Idman.Biz reports that Sainz finished ninth among drivers in Formula 1 this year.
"It's hard to assess whether he has the potential to become a world champion. The answer is probably obvious. It's very difficult to judge until a driver reaches a position where he can win the title. It's a different mindset. There are many super-fast drivers who will never win the championship. Some drivers are a little slower, but they have everything it takes to win the title. But, considering his driving style, it's worth giving him a chance," PokerScout quotes Villeneuve.
