Williams reserve driver Luke Browning suffered a serious accident during "Super Formula" tests at Japan's legendary Suzuka circuit.
Idman.Biz reports that the 24-year-old British driver lost control due to unfavorable weather conditions while approaching the track's famous 130R corner. The car, crashing into the barriers at high speed, took off into the air, flipped several times, and crashed upside down.
Fortunately, despite the force of the impact, Browning was not seriously injured. He was able to get out of the car on his own and left the scene on foot.
It should be noted that Browning will compete in the Japanese series in 2026, in addition to his role at Williams. The pilot finished the previous season in fourth place in the Formula 2 championship with eight podiums and one victory.
